HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well tonight was the first meeting of the new year . It was quiet compared to previous weeks but we still had a good turn out. Lots of us had christmas goodies to show off including books and kits. RB has nearly finished her scarf , she only has about three rows to go. She was thinking about her next project and was thinking of making a garment but she was bought a scarf kit so her next project looks like another scarf. Mrs Christmas herself TJ has already started sewing for christmas. She was sewing a brilliant SNOW & snowman christmas wall hanging. Her reason was that she has so many kits she needs to get a head start. Although that is a valid reason we all know that she's getting withdrawal symptoms from Christmas 2006!!!!! LE has been busy printing photos onto special transfer paper to make patchwork squares for LM and the ones she brought in are really cute. LM Has finished another of her wonderful creations in blues and greens she was tying the ends in so that she can take it on holiday with her. She is going with LE to Austria . I was doing catch up and finally finished my gloves, managed to knit one of my squares and sewed up TJ's cardigan for her grandaughter. Some of the books in the groups stockings were Knit 2 Together, Louisa Harding Modern Classics, Not tonight Darling I'm Knitting, It's my party and I'll cry if I want to and The Craft Companion. Lousia Hardings book is a brilliant book full of classic designs. It is one of those books that you will still be knitting from in 10 years time.

Happy New Year and lets hope it's a crafting one.
